ABOUT ME

I started this blog to chronicle my journey using glass and other mediums for creating art.
I studied design at Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science. I learned how to do stained glass at a shop in Maryland that is now closed. I immediately fell in love with the medium of glass. I have always loved shiny things since I was a child.
I enjoy the problem solving of a new piece or a different design. I enjoy mixing color and texture and mediums. I love mixing fused glass with stained glass, glass and wood...you get the idea. I like to use found objects in my pieces.
My studio is my happy place. It is a place where the world only intrudes when I let it. I also work with leather wood; macramé and I make jewelry. I live with my husband, dogs, cat and fish.
I have opened my retail space inside the Marketplace at Gettysburg. I am open on Saturday. Hours vary based on the season. Click the link below to the Marketplace at Gettysburg to find out current hours. I carry my own work and lots of local artists in my jam-packed market stand!
You can now find my work at several different locations in Pennsylvania
